By Medha Chawla: Electrifying is the word for Kiara Advani’s swathed-in-sequin lehenga that she wore on her Sangeet ceremony! The actress, once again, put something fresh on the fashion platter with her sartorial choice for the pre-wedding celebration.

Kiara and Sidharth Malhotra, on Tuesday, shared several stunning photographs from their Sangeet night on Instagram. The couple exuded maximalist glamour as they were dressed in custom-designed heavily-embellished ensembles by designer Manish Malhotra. Kiara beamed a 24-karat gold charm in a dazzling lehenga and Sidharth flaunted a black-and-gold embroidered velvet sherwani.

While it is pretty common to slip into sequinned lehengas for sangeet nights, Kiara being a fashion-forward bride took the glam game higher with her decision to wear a golden and silver sequinned lehenga. The actress embraced the tricky amalgam of silver and gold with effortless ease. Major kudos to designer Manish Malhotra who envisioned the lehenga and created it with an ombre effect!

The ombre gold-and-silver lehenga featured meticulous handwork that took 4000 hours to craft. “A striking gold to silver transition, 98,000 sparkling Swarovski crystals are paired with our haute couture stole with marabou feather detailing,” the designer revealed in an Instagram post.

She rocked a bold blouse design featuring a plunging neckline which was perfectly accentuated with the dazzling diamond necklace with a colossal ruby pendant from Manish Malhotra’s jewellery line. With her hair let down in soft waves and minimal makeup, Kiara danced the night away at her sangeet night.

Sidharth complemented her well in a velvet sherwani in a stark combination of black and gold. It was adorned with intricate threadwork and Swarovski crystals. The asymmetrical kurta added a contemporary twist to the traditional ensemble.

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani got married on February 7 in Jaisalmer in the presence of their close friends and family members.
